A Note from Charli:

Summer is trying to peek at us in my part of the country, even though some of you are barely feeling springtime. I do hope you have all had a chance to clear out some space whether it has been a closet or a kitchen drawer. With all the spring and summer color comes lots of energy.

Energy is a good thing since our focus for the year ahead is to embrace some new venues and freshness.

On the horizon are:

• Innovative ways to save you time and money, all the while having fun.
• Quick videos to help you stretch your dollars and even more 'great service' tidbits for those of you that are reaching for new ways to increase your income.
• An updated website that will be easier to navigate and have some super resources for all.

A new blog spot will be featured and I will be putting even more updates on some of the social media sites.

Wishing all of you a very colorful early summer, and I am looking forward to hearing from you all.

It's a Berry colorful time of the year.

Berries are not just for the winter holidays. There are so many health benefits in these little marvels it is mind-boggling what these little beauties have in stock for us.

 Here are a few scientific observations about strawberries:

• deliver more vitamin C than an orange, which helps burn fat 25% faster.
• contain manganese that can reduce the occurance of sun induced age spots and speed skin cell turnover which means existing spots fade quicker.
• contain acids that can disolve surface stains on teeth.
• visually the color red raises your heart rate!

As the loveable cartoon character Maxine once said 'My doctor told me to add color to my diet'. Instead of dipping into her bowl of colored M&Ms, opt for the fruit. Health benefits are not limited to the strawberries. Experts have also determined that eating one cup of raspberries daily helps dieters shed 2 pounds per week because they block fat storage and flush excess water weight.

So go ahead, visit all the strawberry festivals you can find this summer, I will.

 Purple Power Pumps Up Passion and Profits!

Purple is a potent color. In every society, purple holds a special place, and a special meaning. It is said that Leonardo da Vinci believed meditating in a lavender or purple-colored light improved his thinking by a factor of 10.

Purple is associated with wealth, nobility, stature, religion, piety, magic, and sexuality.

Purple is a mixture of soothing, calm blue with boisterous, energetic red. Purple is associated with royalty. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. It conveys wealth and extravagance. Purple is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic. Some 75 percent of small children choose purple over other colors.

It is said that purple was a favorite color of Cleopatra. It has continued to be a color associated with royalty, with high honor, such as the purple heart awarded American soldiers wounded or killed in war. Obviously, purple is a very special color. That is also true in feng shui. In feng shui, there is one color that is suitable in any direction. That color is purple.

Purple is the color associated with any of the directions as a beneficial color. You might even say that purple is the "feng shui beige." Sometimes purple is not the easiest color to live with. So, if you have strong feelings about purple it's better not to use it. Or, if your space would look strange with purple, then it's better to use a color that goes with your decor.

Purple is also a color that generates good chi. So, wherever you would like to add extra energy, consider adding purple. However, because it is a stimulating color, it's better not to put purple in bathrooms and kitchens, where it can enhance the negative energies of these rooms.

However, if you've ever wondered how purple can help your feng shui, then here are eight ways purple can help you in your life.

1. Purple helps you gain MORE RECOGNITION.
Purple is an excellent color to add in the south sector of your house or living room or office. In particular, it is especially good if you are in a power position, such as a principle or owner of a business. Purple is definitely a power color. 2. Purple helps you gain CREATIVE, SUCCESSFUL CHILDREN.

Or, use purple in the north, which is the direction of water. Purple here brings luck for wealth and prosperity associated with your job and business opportunities.

Purple and shades of purple are excellent for stimulating good luck. It is especially good when it is paired with white, gold, or silver. Use these color combinations in the west and northwest corners to enhance these corners and bring about greater luck.
