Choosing the Right Color for YOU

Choosing the right color can be challenging for some women. There are many factors to consider, so it may be helpful for women to meet with a professional color specialist to have their personal colors defined.
A woman's skin tone can help her determine which shades will look the best on her. For example, a woman with a pale skin tone usually has a hard time pulling off bright colors that tend to make her look washed out. However, a woman with dark, olive colored skin can wear deep, rich colors with ease.
The cosmetics and makeup that a woman wears to enhance the look of her skin can also dictate which colors will look best on her. If a woman wears dark eye makeup and lipstick, she should coordinate those shades with the colors in her clothing to work together. Pale, shimmery cosmetics demand light colored fabrics.
Personality is another factor than can dictate a woman's best color to wear. Women with outgoing personalities can wear red and burgundy shades of lipstick, stronger blush on her cheeks, and many different shades of eye shadow. A woman with a calm, quiet, or shy personality tends to avoid cosmetics that will make her stand out or grab attention. A woman like this usually looks best in softer shades of gray or blue around the eyes, pink lipsticks, and soft, pink blushes.
Choosing the right shades of colors that look great means considering the skin's coloring and a woman's personality type.
