A birthstone is a stone that is associated with each month
of the year. Birthstones are believed to be dated back to the twelve
tribes of Israel. The list below dates back to 1912.
January- The birthstone for this month is a garnet.
Garnets are red in color.
February – The birthstone for this month is an
amethyst. Amethysts are purple in color.
March - The birthstone for this month is an Aquamarine.
Aquamarines are blue in color.
April - The birthstone for this month is a diamond.
Diamonds are clear in color.
May - The birthstone for this month is an emerald.
Emeralds are green in color.
June – The birthstone for this month is a pearl.
Pearls are white in color.
July - The birthstone for this month is a ruby. Rubies
are red in color.
August - The birthstone for this month is a peridot.
Peridots are green in color.
September - The birthstone for this month is a
sapphire. Sapphires are blue in color.
October – The birthstone for this month is an opal.
Opals are white in color.
November – The birthstone for this month is a citrine.
Citrines are orange in color.
December - The birthstone for this month is a
tanzanite. Tanzanite is blue in color.
